Ecuador Roaster Training Industry Assessment & Training


This is a market specific training of coffee shop owners, managers and roast technicians in the necessary skills to improve the quality of their roasted coffee products to meet the demands of the specialty coffee industry and improve their business. CQI’s roasting expert conducts two-day training in an operational coffee roaster to observe and recommend improvements to increase the quality and value of final products. During a roaster assessment and training the following topics are covered: basic roasting principles, coffee roasting chemistry, improved roasting techniques, roasting profiles, consumption profiles of the local, regional and international markets, and new roasting equipment. The object of this assessment is to examine current roasting practices, environment, equipment and staff knowledge and to make recommendations to improve the quality of the final product.
