How long have you been a CQI In-Country Partner (ICP)?
Since 2008

What does it mean to your company/organization to be an ICP?

Our role as an ICP is invaluable in collaboration and connection to both CQI and to coffee professionals across the globe from coffee producers to baristas.

The Specialty Coffee Association’s mission is to engage, inspire, and expand a sustainable global specialty coffee community by leading in research, education, and events.

What is your relationship with CQI/the Q Program?

As an In-Country Partner in the United States, we process green coffee samples that are submitted for Q Grading. Our ICP Coordinator helps to facilitate the process to ensure a fair and efficient experience for the producer.

What do you think are the opportunities of CQI's Q Coffees program?

There is great opportunity in educational resources to those interested in becoming Q Graders but also for those who are submitting their coffee samples for evaluation.

What do you think are the benefits of being a CQI ICP?

As an ICP, it is great being a resource for coffee producers looking for feedback and analysis on their coffee while connecting with them directly throughout the process.

What do you think could be done to improve / increase Q Coffees in the market?

Increased awareness about the program and the opportunities it provides would be beneficial.

How does your organization benefit from being an ICP?

Being an ICP aligns with our mission in engaging with the specialty coffee community by being a resource to assist, facilitate and process green coffee sample evaluations.
