 What does it mean to your company/organization to be an ICP?
We take great pride in hosting courses, workshops, and certificates that offer coffee professionals an opportunity to follow a sustainable career in coffee. We appreciate the international network that allows our association to be informed about the latest news and events. ACEDE will continue to build on our alliance with CQI to develop new courses and programs for Ecuador's specialty coffee sector.

world Provide a summary of what your company/organization accomplishes and include mission if applicable:
With over 36 active members - mostly specialty coffee producers - ACEDE is Ecuador's largest and most representative coffee association. ACEDE was born in 2007 with the vision of positioning Ecuador as one of the best coffee origins in the world. With over 36 active members - mostly specialty coffee producers, but also roasters, exporters, baristas, cuppers, and coffee shops - ACEDE is currently the largest and most representative coffee association in the country. We promote specialty coffee production and consumption both within our country and abroad. We organize and host Certifications, Workshops and Competitions to help develop our specialty coffee culture and to offer professional careers to the coffee community.

 What is your relationship with CQI/the Q Program?
We organized many years ago the first ever Qgrader program (Arabica and Robusta)
We have organized the first ever Q Processing Level 2 Professional course in Ecuador
We hope to continue to work with CQI in these programs but also offer new and updated courses/certificates

We have successfully organized 2 Q graders Arabica (2013 & 2018) 2021 upcoming
We have successfully organized 1 Q graders Robusta (2013 & 2018) 2021 upcoming
We have successfully organized the first-ever Q Processing Level 2 Professional course in Ecuador (2019)
We Co-Organize World Coffee Events Championships together with the Ministry of Trade (ProEcuador)

- Roasting Championship (2022)
ACEDE is the official licensee for Alliance for Coffee Excellence ACE in Ecuador. ACEDE will organize the first-ever Cup
of Excellence Ecuador Edition (2021)
We have successfully organized several SCA courses at basic and intermediate levels (Barista Skills, Brewing Skills,
Roasting, Green Grading, and Cupping)
We also offer local workshops, courses, certificates, and webinars

 What do you think are the opportunities of CQI's Q Coffees program?
Besides the successful implementation of the Q Coffees program in Ecuador, we feel it would provide Ecuador an opportunity to show itself as one of the best coffee origins in the world. It would provide quality guarantees to clients and potential buyers as well as we can identify our strengths and weaknesses within our specialty coffee production process. We will be able to identify how to improve our work at our Wet Mills and Dry Mills in order to standardize processes and
continuously improve our coffee quality

We take great pride on our work together with CQI for over 8 years and we are more than eager to continue to build on our
relationship as we grow as an association and provide more options for coffee professionals within Ecuador and around our

Working together developing sustainable programs and projects withing the coffee industry, for the
benefit of our coffee professionals and producers, creating value with impact for their livelihoods. Become ambassdors for
the Q system in Ecuador.

world Provide a summary of what your company/organization accomplishes and include mission if applicable:
As a private institution, Anecafe has constantly developed programs for the promotion and improvement of coffee production, based on training, technical support, transfer of technology, and positioning of our origin in the market world among promotion with our events. In this way we created Taza Dorada in 2007, a coffee competition and auction to identify, reward, promote and positioning of the specialty coffee of Ecuador. Because of this successful experience, in 2016, we launched Taza Dorada Robusta edition, for the robusta coffee producers from the coast and amazon region of our country, this was the first ever Robusta competition in the world.
