How long have you been in coffee?
Which countries have you taught in?
Kenya, Ethiopia, Australia, UK, United States, El Salvador, Colombia
What's your favorite coffee origin?
Every origin has something unique to offer. I can't choose.
What do you think are the benefits of taking the Q?
It's an excellent opportunity to find out what your strengths (and weaknesses) are as a cupper. It's also a wonderful chance to gain perspective on how different origins compare to one another. Finally, you get to spend a whole week getting your coffee geek on. How cool is that?
What languages do you speak?
English and Spanish
What other activities do you do in the coffee industry?
I'm a coffee importer. I also do a lot of volunteer work for the Coffee Corps program.
Anything else you'd like to add?
It wasn't that long ago that the coffee world didn't have a viable global standard for assessing coffee quality. In just a few short years the Q has given us a common language to describe the attributes of the coffees we love.
