Switzerland and Poland, I also teach at CRG Retreat and Camps in various locations every year

What's your favorite coffee origin?

It changes every year but I keep on being surprised with my beloved Guatemala

What do you think are the benefits of taking the Q?

One of the benefits is that Q Grader has an "easier life" in producing countries. Farmers, exporters and everyone in industry recognizes this title and has a lot of respect towards it. Everyone knows that it is not easy to become Q Grader but when you finally get there the reward is precious.

What languages do you speak?

Polish, English and Italian

What other activities do you do in the coffee industry?

Currently I'm one of the officers for Coffee Roasters Guild and chairing there Research and Education Committee. I'm also judging Baristas and Roasters at both National and World level. In my company I'm running roastery and am acting as a sensory supervisor for breads, chocolates, ice cream and other delicious treats made by my company - always and only in a spirit of Slow Food.

Anything else you'd like to add?

I like to know why there are specific requirements or rules, I don't like to take anything for granted and the same way I teach my students. I feel best when I have interaction with group and we can talk about our experiences. Privately I enjoy my rides on heavy enduro motorcycle. My brother (who is BMW Certified Instructor) and I have cruised over many countries in areas where you don't see people and there are no trails. If you ask me about it I will talk for hours 🙂
