How long have you been in coffee?  

I have been in coffee for 23 years.

   

Which countries have you taught in?

Mainland China and Taiwan.

 

What's your favorite coffee origin?

Prefer coffee regions that are terroir specific such as Ethiopia, Kenya, Panama, Colombia, PNG, Indonesia, Mainland of China, Taiwan.

 

What do you think are the benefits of taking the Q?

As a Q Grader, I can talk with any role in the industry chain freely and confidently.

A Q-grader can accurately interact with cupping skills about each coffee and each farmer. Help yourself to live a better life by exploring Q qualities.

 

What languages do you speak?

Chinese, and some English.

 

What other activities do you do in the coffee industry?

First AST in mainland of China; China coordinator for WSC; Leader speaker of China / World Coffee Leader’s Forum, Korea 2015; Deputy Chairman to China Bake & Pastry Industry & Associations Union; National Expertise to China Barista Standard booklet editing team.

I'm proud of being a Q Instructor.  "Lucy, remember that the coffee is always talking to you.  Listen carefully and focus on them when you do cupping. keeping brave and honest forever!” Mr. Ted Lingle said this to me, and these words always inspire and accompany me anytime and anywhere.
