Yimara Martinez Agudelo is Manager of Post-Harvest Processing Program

The Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) is pleased to announce the addition of a new staff member. Yimara Martinez Agudelo is filling an important role within the organization.

“I am delighted to bring Yimara on board to take on this responsibility,” said Tina Yerkes PhD, CEO of the Coffee Quality Institute. “She has been an active CQI instructor, and she is a Q Grader who has significant quality evaluation experience that gives her big-picture understanding of the coffee landscape. She is an experienced coffee professional throughout the value chain, her knowledge and passion will help us effectively implement our strategic plan.

Martinez Agudelo is responsible for the vision and implementation of Coffee Quality Institute’s Post-Harvest Processing education program. This is an exciting time at CQI because the organization is expanding its education offerings.

“Being involved in developing education for producers while increasing access is a meaningful way for me to take the next step in my coffee journey,” Martinez Agudelo said. “While I have been working in coffee in the United States for many years, I grew up in a coffee producing community. I have experienced first-hand the positive impact that good education can have on outcomes, and I am really glad to be a part of the CQI team.”

Coffee Quality Institute is a non-profit organization working internationally to improve the quality of coffee and the lives of people who produce it.
